Our largest FULLY FREESTANDING awning. The Wraptor 6K provides massive shade – even enough for a Sprinter van. The rear hinge is identical to our Wraptor 4K withan additional hinge with 2 arms at the front of the awning to provide additional coverage in front.
Simply unzip the cover, swing out the arms, and cinch it tight…that’s it!
-Waterproof 280G ripstop canvas
-Height adjustable poles extend to 8′ 6″, required in windy condition

Video is for a 4K which is same install but the 6K comes with 3 brackets.
-Waterproof 280G ripstop canvas
-Deploys in less than a minute
-Height adjustable poles extend to 8′ 6″, required in windy conditions
-91 inches long when stowed on the vehicle
-Velcro at edges for attachments to walls
The awning will need to be mounted with the rear extending beyond the back of the vehicle to allow the awning to swing to 90 degrees for full 270 degree coverage. Please make sure to keep the front and rear mounting brackets close to the hinges. This is crucial to provide adequate support for the awning when open.
Available in PASSENGER or DRIVER side.
Offers ~130 sq/ft of coverage
Recommended for full-size 4-door SUVs, vans and trucks.
Choosing which side to get…if your vehicle has a swinging rear door then we suggest the side opposite to which it swings. Most rear doors swing to the passenger side so for those vehicles we recommend driver side. If you have FJ Cruiser or a van the we recommend passenger side. If your vehicle has a tailgate or lift gate then we recommend passenger side in case you pull over on the side of the road and want to open your awning- this way it won’t open over the street but rather the side of the road
MOUNTING:
Mount 2 brackets close to the ends of the awning near the hinge points. U-bolts included for round bars or bolts directly to roof rack.

Great product for a fantastic price. We use this every time we camp. Easy to set up and tear down, and makes a great space to sit or cook under. Our only wish is that we got the longer 2500 option. The 2000 is relatively small. Nice work! I’d definitely purchase again.

Very nice awning overall good materials and construction. Few things I would like to see improved, add a third securing strap in the middle of the awning this is the bulkiest part when rolled up, the twist lock poles sometimes spin free and need a good shake or turn upside down to get the lock to engage, not easy when deploying the awning by yourself.

Arrived in quickly, both ends of the box were smashed pretty good, but it was packed well inside and there was no damage. I’m very pleased with the awning, especially at the price point.

best value for an awning anywhere

This is a great awning. This review is for the Version 2. The setup is easy and fast and the backstrap makes things so easy. I can set it up by myself in one minute. I’d like to see the covers in grey instead of black.

So I bought it for my FJ cruiser, and I mounted it to my frontrunner rack. I had to cut some pieces of steel tubing, 1in × 2in so I could mount it. The brackets included do not clear, the floor of the rack dosen’t go all the way to the edge, tubing helps it go up so it does, if that makes sense. Was a real struggle to get all the poles through the holes on the awining and stretch it. Had to cut 3/4 of the 1st arm to be able to assemble, so now the last triangle isnt as tight as the other, ill figure something out.
After that, setup isn’t difficult. 1 person can do it, but much easier with 2. One of the twist to lock legs dosent work, but Ill probably drill a hole to put a bolt through.
Haven’t been able to use it in very windy conditions, so no comment there. It makes a good little spot to hangout, cook and eat.

hi, you have a wraptor v2 awning. you do not use the outside poles. please see the setup video on our website.

Great product. I didn’t use the brackets supplied. I made my own brackets. Over all this is a great product with a great price.
One of the aluminum channels was damaged from shipping, but nothing I can’t live with. The rod connections to the aluminum channel are plastic. Which is good, because when the wind hits, it has flexibility, it won’t break like my other one did.

I have owned both the V1 of the Wrapter 2500 and the V2 for the past two years, and it’s a solid product. The V2 addressed the little things of the V1 and adds even more value and makes it easier to deploy, use, and stow away. Additionally I have 3 of the removable walls, two of which I place inside the awning cover.
Pro Tip: after securing the back-strap to your rack, do not cinch it tight until after all the vertical poles have been installed. By keeping the awning slack, you’ll find it super easy to install the vertical poles (and horizontal poles if you want), as the awning material is easier to adjust to meet the pole tips to the metal grommet, and avoid un-necessary modifications to the awning.

Just got back from camping and The Princess and I are very impressed. Only 2 issues arose. The fabric is starting to separate at the place where it slides into the aluminum plate. A little needle and thread should work. One of the telescopic poles black….(round thingy?) seems to have arrived broken but it still locks well. All in all we’re happy with the awning. The Princess did mention the walls would be beneficial and we’ll be looking into those soon. Thx Guys!! Oh yeah.. it poured rain on us but the awning did what it was supposed to.

This awning is great quality and the folks at Overland Pros are awesome. If you on the fence about a 270 awning for only$400, believe me it’s a steal.

This is EXACTLY what I ordered and was expecting. While it’s the “top of the line / most expensive”, it completely meets my needs at a GREAT price. This is my first awning and can not wait to get out and use it. The additional Wall Set is a wonderful addition and will definitely help on sunny days, rain, and especially during cold fishing / hunting trips.

Exactly what we were looking for. Couldn’t be happier and highly recommend!

My wraptor 2000 is always the envy of the campground. Folks huddle under it whether to escape the sun or the rain. if I have one complaint…I lose privacy every time I open it!
JJ F. (verified owner) –
My only complaint is how it rolls up I feel like the aluminum extrusion needs to be twice the size for it to be held more stability. However, I also understand that that increases cost by probably at least $100. At the price point I am very pleased with it.
Dale Kildal (verified owner) –
For this price range (need to manage expectations), it’s a GREAT buy! It’s meets all my needs and I’m very happy with the awning. The only thing I wish they would have done is have one to two more outside straps to help hold it together.

Love the awning so far. It braved the Mojave road with us. Setup and breakdown are easy with one person. My back strap clip broke on the first time setting it up so I’m trying to get a replacement but otherwise I’m super happy with it and the 4 sides I got.
